That's probably due to the fact that Rennes has little activity... Pre-match, post-match... And that's it. what else can I talk about? Invent stories linking Rennes to Puyol and Defoe? I Don't think that interests anybody. Rennes haven't been linked seriously to anybody during this transfer windown, and Lacombe seems to be more interested in getting back the form Le Guen had during the early stages of the season rather than splash some cash...

Corey... Lacombe did brilliantly at Sochaux, without even buying a player... So I'd take him over Hantz any day. What's more, at Rennes, it's still Dréossi (he's been doing it for 5 years now) that will be in charge of transfers... And since Lacombe and Dréossi worked together at Cannes, I think they've got good understanding of what they want to do with Rennes.

Ive never been sold on Lacombe. The list of talent he has coached doesnt do anything for me, they all would have become great players whether he was coach or someone else. Rennes needs a coach who can use the youth talent that they possess with the occassional signing of an experienced campaigner. Lacombe is good at that, but I agree with Sam, Hantz is much better, he established Le Mans as a strong team with very little money. And he did not have anything to work with at Sochaux, no one ever dos. Good luck Lacombe, if Perrin was to be fired id take Hantz in a heart beat.

Lacombe was good at Sochaux and knows Dreossi by heart from thei days at Cannes. He may succeed in Rennes, given how much he was revered just two years ago. I mean this is a guy who was in the pole position to replace Le Guen at Lyon. I believe that his hatred of the city, the people and the teamof paris was the reason of his failure. Moustache is a country man and he can't handle cities. Rennes will be perfect for him.

Lacombe, jeez. Funny how in those last eight matches, both goals came two minutes from the end. I would've gone for Frédéric Hantz. He did very well at Le Mans, but had nothing to work with at Sochaux.

I don't know about Lacombe...he was really losing it at the end of his PSG days. I don't know if you've seen this, but Paul Marshall over at ESPN posted an article about the happenings at Rennes.
